Summar Summery

HELLO!

hello

I’m just settling back in in Halifax after a really lovely early-summer jaunt through Eastern Canada.  I have 5 tapes left (more on that later!)  PBS will be spending the summer exactly where we should OUTSIDE!  There are a bunch of Maritime festival dates coming up (belooow), and I’ve got a lovely new video to share with you (further beloooooow), BUT FIRST There’s some news that I’ve been waiting some time to share with you…

Dreamy Dreamy Dream Dreams

On July 11th a very special PBS ensemble (guitar, voice, bassoon, French horn and violin) will be performing at St. Matthew’s Church at the Halifax Jazz Festival sharing the stage with one of my favourite bands – a largely instrumental ensemble by the name of Clogs.  I discovered these guys 3 years ago and they’ve been in heavy rotation on my stereo ever since.  They’re led by Australia’s Padma Newsome and Bryce Dessner, both most familiar for their work in The National, and I am over the moon to be playing a show with them.  Their latest album also features Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond), and she will be at the festival this year, too, so I’m hoping that there will be some linking up going on.  Anyway, to read and hear more and book yourself a ticket, get over here:  http://halifaxjazzfestival.ca/artist/clogs

Last 5 tapes!

The run of 50 exclusive tour tapes went down a storm – I have only 5 left and the next 5 PBS merchandise orders on the Bandcamp will get a free tape!  The 4 tracks on the tape are not available elsewhere and will not be making their way onto the internet, so this is your last chance!
