It appears that this particular train does not stop moving! The European tour just wrapped up, I’m sitting at home in my kitchen in Halifax and tonight PBS will play the Pop Explosion before a couple of Maritime opening slots for Dan Mangan and Old Man Luedecke, Nova Scotia Music Week a flit across the ocean to play in Nottingham and at London’s legendary folk venue the Cecil Sharp House, then the first ever PBS Newfoundland shows and a jaunt through Quebec and Ontario. I know, that sentence was too long. Nevermind… Details and dates below!
Halifax Pop Explosion Tonight!
After a whirlwind 8 country European tour I’m happy to be bringing PBS back to its roots for a show at everyone’s favourite explosion(?) at the Company House tonight. BEST OF ALL: Gregory Burton will be playing Euphonium on a few tracks! Greg did the brass arrangements for Rest Your Bones and Season’s Rest, and appears in this, here, video. This will be the first time we’ve played together since recording the album, we’re sharing the night with Polaris Prize nominee Mark Davis and as any fine Canadian would say, I’m totally stoked!!!
